By placing an order with Pots and Paper by Steph you are accepting and are bound by these terms and conditions. Throughout the rest of this document 'our', ‘us’ and ‘we’ will refer to Pots and Paper by Steph and 'you' and 'your' to the customer.
HANDMADE PAPER.
Characteristics.
As our paper is made by hand using recycled paper, our sheets may feature black/white spots of ink from the sheets previous life. Our sheets are made with a mould and deckle so feature a naturally deckled-edge. As a result, there will be slight variations in the sheets exact shape, edges, texture and dimensions and any dimensions are an estimate only.
There will also be variation in thickness, texture and weight. We will not accept responsibility for any disappointment pertaining to these imperfections, irregularities and variations which are considered acceptable and reasonable for a handmade product.
Suitability.
The paper is internally sized to accept ink making it suitable for use with a number of different mediums and different printing techniques. It is the your responsibility to check that the paper is suitable with your chosen medium. We are not responsible for any resulting outcomes associated with your use of this paper.
Colours.
Colours are mixed by eye in our studio as accurately as possible to Pantone colours following a formula but we cannot produce exact colour matches and the formula does not guarantee exact results. By placing an order for a custom colour you are agreeing that you accept a level of uncertainty and unpredictability that comes with mixing colours by eye. As our sheets are made with recycled paper, there will be some variation in colour between batches as different assortments of scrap paper blend into different coloured base pulps and therefore accepts coloured pigments differently. We will not accept responsibility for any disappointment pertaining to these imperfections and irregularities which are considered reasonable for a handmade product.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's display of any colour will be accurate.
Lead times and payment.
Full payment is taken upfront before production begins on any made-to-order batches and all made-to-order batches are scheduled on a first come first serve basis from the point of payment. We do not accept responsibility for delays, extensions and changes in lead times which result from delays in payments/client contact.
Quality.
Every sheet of paper is individually quality checked for faults beyond the imperfections and irregularities that are considered reasonable for a handmade product. We pay close attention to the creation and handling of our paper and pride ourselves on the fact that nothing less than perfect leaves our studio. If however, you are not happy with the quality of your order you must inform us within 48 hours of receipt and we will discuss the options going forward.
Shipping.
All orders are sent via Royal Mail and will be shipped fully insured. International Orders are shipped with tracking and signature required upon delivery and we are not responsible for any customs charges or taxes. Shipping prices vary on location and weight and are quoted on an individual basis.
We will accept responsibility for any loss or damage of post and for making claims for compensation providing the customer adhered to the following:
- Any damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of you receiving your order and you will need to provide photographs of the outer packaging, inner packaging and of the damaged product in order to assist with any compensation claim.
You may request a different shipping service but if you do you will be responsible for any loss or damage and for making any postal service claims for compensation. In the event of loss or damage where the customer has adhered to the above procedure for reporting we will offer a full refund.
Cancellations and refunds.
As production begins as soon as payment has been received in full, we reserve the right to decide how much, if any, of your order to refund. You must contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel your order.
We reserve the right to make any changes to these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
